Linnean Preschool is looking for a substitute preschool teacher
Linnean Preschool is centrally located in the Odenslund area of Östersund. The preschool has 5 departments with groups of about 18 children aged 1-6 years. Our preschool is an inspiring workplace where we focus on the child through participation, influence, respect, and safety. Collegial learning and exchange are central for everyone at the preschool; we learn from and with each other to develop education and teaching.
Substitute Position
We are now looking for a qualified preschool teacher for a fixed-term position at Linnean Preschool starting in the spring term (March) by agreement.
The application deadline is February 11. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
You will be part of a team where you collectively plan and are responsible for the children's care, education, and development. We assume that all children want, can, and dare, and that they are in an environment where they have the opportunity to use and develop their skills. As a substitute preschool teacher with us, you are expected to develop trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
You create curiosity and the desire to learn during planned activities as well as spontaneous moments. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a creative and inspiring atmosphere where children thrive and develop.
Common Responsibilities
- The preschool teacher is responsible for leading the systematic quality work at the preschool by planning, teaching, documenting, and evaluating the content of the activities together with colleagues in the work team and at the preschool.
- As a preschool teacher, you are responsible according to the curriculum for respecting the children's needs and applying a democratic working method where children can actively participate.
- Plan and implement activities based on the curriculum.
- Develop educational content that inspires development and learning while stimulating and challenging the children's interest, curiosity, and attention.
- Provide each child with safe care and promote all children's development and learning.
- Create learning opportunities based on children's needs and interests so that all children can develop according to their abilities and conditions.
Your Qualifications
Requirements
- Educated and licensed preschool teacher.
- You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Desirable
- You have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and can implement these in daily work.
- Previous experience in preschool is an advantage.
- You have good computer skills, and it is an advantage if you have worked with digital systems aimed at schools, such as Unikum and Tempus.

You have a good understanding of people's differences and relate to them in a responsive and flexible manner in teaching and the preschool's daily life. You create good relationships and collaborate well with the contacts that occur in your professional role.

Interviews may take place on an ongoing basis. We ask that you attach your CV and cover letter to your application. Grades/certificates do not need to be sent with the application. We will ask you to provide these if it becomes relevant for an interview.
