JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Our goal is to minimize the number of accidents and their consequences. To prevent accidents, we focus on preventive work, therefore we plan and organize our operations so that rescue efforts can begin as quickly as possible and be carried out effectively, regardless of municipal boundaries.

We help and support both individuals, organizations, and other authorities to act both before, during, and after the individual event. Therefore, your tasks will consist of both preventive work and operational emergency services. Other tasks such as maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and service are usually referred to as station work, and these are also included in your tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for firefighters for the full-time force. We are looking for you, man or woman, who is interested in working as a firefighter. It is desirable that you have worked in municipal rescue services or completed the Rescue Operations, Grib training course 2 with completed training for smoke diving or completed at least two semesters of the SMO training or similar training with a passing grade.

You must have basic higher education eligibility. You must have at least a B driver's license at the time of application and within 6 months of employment (trial employment) hold a C driver's license. You must be fully healthy and have good physical work capacity, according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's requirements for smoke diving and have completed swimming proficiency tests according to Guldbojen; these qualities will be checked and tested in the recruitment process.

It is an advantage if you:
• have completed accident prevention training (SMO) or Firefighter (15 weeks).
• hold a BC driver's license.
• have had a longer service in municipal rescue services.
• have other professional experience that may be valuable to the operation.

In the role, you need to be outgoing and able to communicate in a trustworthy manner as the work involves many contacts with individuals, organizations, and authorities in preventive work such as inspections, training, and counseling. You need to have good computer skills and be able to express yourself easily in both speech and writing.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Before employment begins, suitability tests will be conducted as well as a medical examination, regarding smoke and chemical diving according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations.

Your application must include;
• Certificate of completed education for higher education eligibility.
• Certificate of any completed rescue training.
• Certificate of any completed treadmill test.
• Certificate of completed swimming proficiency test according to Guldbojen.
• Certificate of driver's license class.
