Do you want to help create a safe and sustainable laboratory environment? We offer a key role at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering, where you will be part of the operational support and work for all our subject areas.
As a safety laboratory coordinator, you are a central person in coordinating, developing, and driving the department's work on work environment and safety. The role has a particular focus on chemical management and work environment, but also includes physical safety in laboratories, machine safety, radiation safety, and environmental aspects related to laboratory activities.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a relevant academic background, such as in occupational health and safety, chemistry, or mechanical engineering – you could be an occupational health engineer, a chemical engineer, or a mechanical engineer – or have equivalent experience that we consider comparable.
We would like you to have:
- Practical experience of laboratory work
- Good knowledge and/or experience in some of the following areas:
- Chemical management (practical work with chemical products)
- Machine safety (operation of equipment, pressure devices, gas)
- Occupational and environmental legislation in laboratory environments
Experience from laboratory work in industry or academia is an advantage.

Employment details
Permanent full-time employment based in Luleå. A probationary period may apply. Start date is according to agreement.
