Our 1,800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We have a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Are you our new geriatrician?

Welcome to Heby Health Center, a pleasant health center with a high ceiling! We are looking for you who are a specialist in geriatrics, we offer a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement. The degree of employment can be discussed based on the applicant's wishes.

Your mission

With us, you will have a varied and stimulating job in close collaboration with all professions at the health center. We have a structured working method and a good atmosphere in our team. We are looking for someone who, together with us, wants to work for satisfied patients and a good working environment, and who is interested in developing the care assignment for the group aged 75 and older with complex care needs.

Your tasks will consist of outpatient work with varied tasks and the main responsibility for nursing homes and elderly reception. It also includes supervision of medical students and AT/ST/PT/BT doctors.

Your competence

We are looking for someone with specialist competence in geriatrics, with Swedish authorization and good ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. As a person, you are good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work effectively, and to be successful in the job, you need to be flexible in your working methods. Your ability to collaborate and your willingness to develop the organization will be beneficial to us. We place great importance on personal qualities.

Our operations

Heby Health Center belongs to the management of Close Care and Health in Region Uppsala. The health center is located in beautiful agricultural and forestry land in Heby municipality, northwest of Uppsala. There are good communication opportunities to Heby from both Uppsala and Sala.

Heby Health Center has about 7,000 registered patients and we are 30 employees. Our operations are broad and all professional areas within the health center's mission are represented. We also have a youth clinic. The wide variation of patients creates a stimulating and developing workplace. We have diabetes, asthma/COPD, and heart failure nurses with their own clinics. There are good opportunities for you to influence the layout of your schedule regarding working hours and to some extent remote work.
