The Agricultural Society of Västernorrland, Nordvik Education AB is seeking a vocational teacher/instructor for the nature management program, for the vocational track "working with dogs", located in Nordvik.
In Nordvik, Noraström, you will find the Agricultural Society's educational facility within the nature management sector. Here, nature management education for high school students is conducted on behalf of Kramfors municipality. At the facility, you will find several different programs, including apprenticeship training within the high school nature management program, adult education in gardening, agriculture, floristry, and farriery, as well as education for two programs within the adapted high school. There is also farming, veterinary reception, small animal operations, riding activities, horse care, rental of stable places and dog kennels, as well as rental of a dog hall and riding arena. Nordvik also has student accommodations for high school students studying the nature management program, as well as housing and overnight options for adult students.

As our vocational teacher in animal care, with primary responsibilities within the vocational track "working with dogs", is retiring, we are looking for a person with the right skills for the role.
We are looking for someone with a background in the dog world who, like us, has a strong commitment to youth and their development, rural areas, green industries, and a desire to grow together with us.
Your responsibilities
- Examples of tasks:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate education.
- Be responsible for education within the high school nature management program, such as the subjects: Dog knowledge, Coat care and dog grooming, Activity leadership, Animal health and veterinary care, Service and reception, High school project.
- Be responsible for the care of the dog hall and dog kennels, including both physical work and routines, queue systems, etc.
- Plan and project manage activities at Nordvik for dog enthusiasts.
- Develop the direction and offerings at Nordvik regarding the vocational track "working with dogs".
- Develop and ensure good routines, documentation, and processes for the operation.
- Assessment and grading.
Your profile
You have education and experience working with dogs. You have good knowledge of dog behavior and broad experience with different dog breeds and dog sports. You also have a large network within the industry.
You are, for example, a certified SBK teacher, instructor, or have other equivalent education that the employer deems comparable. You are, or have the ability to become, familiar with the school's governing documents and organize work based on the curriculum's goals.
You have good collaboration skills and preferably experience working in learning processes together with others. You are professional in your approach and have a good ability to communicate with youth, colleagues, and guardians. With patience, calmness, and a low-arousal approach, you are prepared to create the conditions required.

Meritorious
- Qualified teacher with certification in the proposed vocational subjects above.
- Experience working with youth
- SBK teacher
- Certified veterinary nurse
Requirements
- Post-secondary education
- SBK instructor in dogs or other education and experience in dogs that the employer deems equivalent.
- Can perform physically demanding work.
- Has a driver's license B
- Can present an approved extract from the police's criminal record for work in schools.

At Nordvik, there is an opportunity to bring your own dog to work. There is also the possibility to rent a stable place if you wish to have your own horse at Nordvik. If you need to commute weekly, there may be an opportunity to rent a room for overnight stays, subject to availability.
