We are now welcoming a healthcare strategist to the Health and Medical Care Management Department within the Group Office!
The Health and Medical Care Management Department (HSS) supports the political organization and group management of Region Skåne with assignment work and monitoring of the overall healthcare system. Our mission is to contribute to a coherent and well-functioning healthcare system, based on the needs of the residents and efficient use of resources. The department is an active participant in the national work that develops the healthcare system.
HSS includes the areas of Accessibility and Knowledge Management, Assignment, Contract Management and Digitalization, the Regional Cancer Center South, and an administrative unit. In addition, there are functional managers within Research and Development, pharmaceuticals, and patient safety.
We are now looking for a healthcare strategist for the Unit for Accessibility and Production Management (ETP) who wants to contribute to streamlining and developing Skåne's healthcare with a focus on increasing accessibility in Region Skåne through follow-up and needs assessment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a healthcare strategist in this role, you will work on various assignments, including analyzing needs, healthcare capacity, and monitoring healthcare at the regional level. The overall mission includes investigative work, report writing, and the preparation of materials and presentations. The role combines a strategic perspective with a clear implementation focus and means that you will work closely with both management and employees in daily development work. The assignment involves both independent work and supporting, preparing, driving, and following up on work together with managers on ongoing assignments.
Our assignments are based on regional needs that are constantly changing, and we meet these varying assignments with a flexible approach. The role also involves collaboration with other units within the Health and Medical Care Management Department and the Group Office, as well as cooperation with other administrations in Region Skåne.
You will work in a dynamic environment where the content of the assignment can vary, and our goal is to meet the challenges we see in Region Skåne with initiatives that respond to these. QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a relevant higher education, preferably in economics, political science, healthcare, or similar fields. You have a strong understanding and knowledge of healthcare regardless of operational form. Driving and working with processes related to follow-up and evaluation requires you to see and understand how the whole and parts are interconnected and how to drive development work forward through dialogue and collaboration among the various parts of the operations.
You have experience in investigative and development work in a politically governed organization, and it is advantageous if you have experience working in the healthcare sector. You speak Swedish and English fluently and express yourself very well in writing in Swedish. Additionally, you have experience working with complex data extraction focusing on sorting, analyzing, and assessing relevance related to operational development and follow-up. To succeed in the role, we see that you are accustomed to working with strategic issues at a higher organizational level and have the ability to translate strategies and models into concrete actions that create added value in the daily operations of Region Skåne.
