What happens if a person, computer, or IT system cannot authenticate, or if a person does not have the right permissions at the right time? In this role, you are a key person ensuring that our IAM systems operate around the clock. You will work closely with the technology and ensure the availability of our AD environments that the entire Transport Administration relies on. It is a responsible and varied job where your expertise makes a real difference - every day.

IT Systems Technician within Active Directory

Job Responsibilities

The Transport Administration is looking for an operations/system technician with broad AD expertise and several years of experience working with Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS). We can offer you an interesting and developing job in a large and socially important government agency with several on-prem AD environments that require 24/7 availability.

We want to emphasize that the role focuses on the operation and maintenance of the technical platforms and not on account management, permissions, or end-user support.

You will be part of a national team with 14 competent and engaged colleagues who, in various roles and delivery teams, share a common responsibility to ensure that the Transport Administration has a robust IT infrastructure for authentication and authorization in our IT environments. More concretely, this includes the operation, management, and further development of the Transport Administration's central directory, certificate, and federation services, as well as multi-factor authentication. We work with the support of the ITIL and SAFe frameworks.

Your main responsibilities as a systems technician for the infrastructure platforms and services that the group is responsible for include:

  • working with proactive maintenance of our AD environments
  • troubleshooting and resolving incidents as well as responding to incoming monitoring alarms
  • managing incoming requests and participating in and executing deployments
  • collaborating with systems specialists in management activities in our AD environments, e.g., lifecycle management and working on security-enhancing measures
  • working on continuous improvements by streamlining and automating workflows and systems
  • participating in assignments as an expert in our technical area.

The position includes on-call duty according to a rolling schedule approximately every six weeks.

Additional Information

Possible locations for this position are: Borlänge, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Örebro, or Västerås.

Do you want a flexible everyday life with the opportunity to work from home? In this role, you can work remotely up to two days a week.
