System Engineers at LFV
LFV is in the midst of an exciting transformation journey with new technology, new ways of working, and growing responsibilities. We need to strengthen the team and are now looking for two system engineers who want to contribute to smart solutions for tomorrow's air traffic.
Your Future Workplace
You will be part of CNS COM Network, a wonderful team of ten people who work together on the management, design, and development of our national IP-based transmission network, LFV ATN.
We collaborate with other ANSPs (Air Navigation Service Providers) and their IP-based transmission networks.
LFV ATN (Aeronautical Telecommunication Network) is used within the operational air traffic service and is therefore regulated with high demands on accuracy, controls, and follow-up.
The group works with various focuses, so whether you want to manage LFV ATN, thrive in technical projects, enjoy working with test environments, and contribute as an advisor in technical matters, there is a place for you.
Your Role
As a system engineer with us, you will have a broad and varied assignment within system and management issues. You will work with:
- Designing network changes related to LFV's systems – from structure and planning to documentation, dialogue with the business, and assessments regarding flight safety and cybersecurity.
- Close contact with the business, such as air traffic controllers, system engineers, authorities, and suppliers. You will have many exciting points of contact!
- Leading maintenance technicians and taking on a more senior responsibility for LFV ATN, as well as serving as an advisor for both technicians and users.
- Project management within the COM Network area.
Who Are We Looking For?
We believe that you want to step from operational operations to a more management and design-oriented role. You enjoy the combination of personal responsibility and close collaboration, are proactive, and like to work towards clear goals. You are analytical, communicative, and good at creating structure. And above all, you share our commitment to technology, development, and flight safety.
If this description fits you, then you are right for the job if you also have:
- A technical education focused on network technology or equivalent experience
- Experience with IP networks in operations and maintenance, with good knowledge of IP networking and Cisco
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure, IP networks, communication, and cybersecurity
- Experience in development and improvement work within network services
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN, routing/switching, firewalls, proxies, multicast, QoS, and network design
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
We consider it a bonus if you also have experience with:
- Tools such as Netbox, IPFabric, Catalyst Center, Cisco Prime, Netflow
- MPLS, IPsec, SD-WAN, EVPL, and VPLS
- DNS, DHCP, and other network-related protocols
- Linux, scripting, and automation (e.g., Python, Ansible, APIs)
- Communication services within air traffic services as well as relevant laws and regulations
Employment
The positions are permanent employment with stationing in several locations across the country, such as Stockholm/Arlanda, Norrköping, Gothenburg, Malmö/Sturup.
Travel may occur.
Before employment, a security clearance will be conducted, which includes a background check, security interview, and drug test. The role requires Swedish citizenship.
We value diversity and believe that different perspectives make us better. Our recruitment process is competency-based and includes selection, tests, and interviews, ensuring that all candidates are treated equally and fairly.
