Welcome to us

Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

The Northern inner city district consists of the central parts of Stockholm, Norrmalm, and Östermalm. Here we work to provide our 155,000 residents with the best services in areas such as preschool, social services, elderly care, and urban development. We welcome you who want to make a difference for the residents of the Northern inner city.

Your role

Do you want to work with public authority enforcement this summer and are you interested in the elderly target group? Do you want the opportunity to gain broad experience in public authority enforcement? The assessment for the elderly is responsible for public authority enforcement according to the Social Services Act for individuals over 65 years old.

We investigate, decide, order, and follow up on interventions for our target group. The area is led by a district manager and includes four units within the area of assessment for the elderly, which together consist of 81 dedicated employees. In the group, we help and support each other during peak work periods, share knowledge, and our joy of work.

We offer

Do you want to be part of our wonderful, large, and engaged team? If so, you will be part of a workplace characterized by professionalism, warmth, and high work morale. As a monthly employed summer substitute, you have the opportunity for flexible hours and some wellness benefits. We are located in fresh premises in an open office landscape, near Odenplan and Torsplan with good public transport connections.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Ongoing social work education or a degree in social work.
  • Completed field placement or ongoing.
  • Experience in public authority enforcement within elderly care or LSS.
  • Good knowledge of the Social Services Act and legal practice.
  • Good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Knowledge of the City of Stockholm's guidelines within social services for elderly care.
  • Experience in public authority enforcement within elderly care or LSS.
  • Practical experience and knowledge of the documentation systems Paraply and LifeCare.

We need you to be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances. In the assessment for the elderly, you will make many decisions, and we are looking for someone who makes decisions judiciously and acts on them even when there may be limited information, time pressure, or difficult circumstances. As a person, you are structured with a good ability to organize and prioritize your work effectively. We are looking for someone who has good collaboration skills, always with the individual in focus. To succeed in the role of public authority enforcer, it is important that you are professional in your role and can distinguish between the personal and the professional, as well as being secure, stable, and having self-awareness.

In this recruitment, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities, motivation, and commitment to the task. Warm welcome to your application! The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's skills and thus combating discrimination.
