At Själevad School F-9, there are currently about 580 students, of which 275 are in the upper grades.

Själevad is beautifully located by the Mo River, approximately 6 km from central Örnsköldsvik.

For those new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality offers an introductory program for new teachers, which means that during your first year, you will have a mentor. Your mentor is an experienced teacher with the same subject qualifications who can guide and support you.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach Swedish in grades 7-9 and will have overall responsibility for the student group, managing the documentation and contacts that this entails. Contact and collaboration with guardians is an important part of the work. The assignment involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with a work team. The position is a temporary replacement for parental leave starting VT26 1/4 (or by agreement with the employer) until VT27.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree with subject qualifications in Swedish combined with other subjects.

We seek someone who enjoys being challenged and thinking innovatively, who sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is a given for you.

We would like you to have experience leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are attentive, responsible, engaged, and creative.
