University Lecturer in Archive and Information Science

The Department of Communication, Quality Technology and Information Systems operates at both Campus Östersund and Campus Sundsvall. The department conducts education and research in the fields of Communication, Quality Technology, and Information Systems.

Responsibilities

The position of university lecturer in archive and information science primarily involves teaching in our undergraduate courses.

The teaching in the subject is conducted remotely. We encourage university lecturers in the subject to participate in the development work and research of the subject. The position includes professional development and administration according to applicable working time agreements and local guidelines.

Assessment Criteria

The assessment criteria for the employment of a university lecturer are based on the degree of competence required for eligibility for the position. The evaluation of pedagogical skills should receive equal attention as the evaluation of other eligibility criteria.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language is required for the position. Experience in teaching at the university level is a requirement, especially teaching in archive and information science or archival science.

We are looking for someone who collaborates well with others. Listens, communicates, and resolves conflicts constructively. You take responsibility for your tasks, structure your approach independently, and drive processes forward to complete your tasks.

Other Assessment Criteria

Experience in doctoral education related to societal digitalization, such as a licentiate degree, is advantageous. Our education is conducted entirely remotely, which requires a high level of digital maturity. Our education is in Swedish, so the applicant must have proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Processing

Employment and Start Date

Permanent employment at 50% of full-time, starting on 2025-03-01 or by agreement.
