Employment Coach for Gnesta and Trosa Municipalities

The position is located within the social services department, which aims to provide residents of Gnesta municipality with good and accessible services based on individual needs. We are responsible for the municipality's care for individuals and families, the elderly, people with disabilities, municipal health care, as well as labor market integration and adult education. The department operates on behalf of the social welfare board.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to help build a new Learning Center from the ground up and make a real difference for young people and adults on their way to education and work?
Gnesta and Trosa municipalities are now seeking an employment coach as part of a joint initiative to develop a Learning Center with support from government grants from the National Agency for Education.
Gnesta and Trosa municipalities collaborate to gradually develop a joint Learning Center, an accessible, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for residents in various life situations. The Learning Center will provide support to students in areas such as:
- Municipal adult education
- Swedish for immigrants (SFI)
- Distance studies at the upper secondary level
- KAA (16-20 years) and young adults (20-24 years)
As an employment coach, you will be a key person in creating connections, motivation, and clear pathways between studies, the labor market, and collaborating actors.
In the role of employment coach, you will, among other things:
- Work in a coaching and guiding capacity with individuals who need support in transitioning between education and work.
- Strengthen motivation, study techniques, and independence among participants in the Learning Center.
- Collaborate with educators, study and career counselors, special educators, youth coaches at KAA, the employment unit, the Public Employment Service, and local employers.
- Contribute to individualized solutions for participants with special needs or disabilities.
- Contribute to the development of working methods, routines, and structures within the new Learning Center.
- Participate in the follow-up and development of the operations in line with the purpose of the government grant.
The position involves work in both municipalities.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- Post-secondary education in labor market studies, behavioral science, pedagogy, social work, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Experience in coaching, supporting, or guiding work with young people and/or adults.
- A good understanding of the education system, adult education, and the conditions of the labor market.
- Experience in collaboration between different actors and organizations.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience working in adult education, KAA, or labor market initiatives in municipal operations.
- Knowledge of distance studies and support for students.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs or neuropsychiatric disabilities.
- Multilingualism.
