Special Educator for Learning Center in Gnesta and Trosa

About the Position

Gnesta and Trosa municipalities are now seeking a special educator for our Learning Centers. The position is shared between both municipalities and involves close collaboration with educators, principals, and external partners.

The Learning Center is a meeting place for adult education where the individual's needs are at the center. The operations are characterized by flexibility, distance learning, and a clear focus on support, motivation, and goal fulfillment.

The Learning Center will offer support to students in areas such as:

• municipal adult education
• Swedish for immigrants (SFI)
• distance learning at upper secondary and post-secondary levels
• KAA (16–20 years) and young adults (20–24 years)

Job Responsibilities

As a special educator at the Learning Center, you will play a central role in:

• providing special educational support to adult learners and participants in KAA with special needs, both individually and in groups
• guiding and supporting educators and other staff in matters related to interaction, adaptations, and inclusive learning environments
• contributing to structures and routines that strengthen study conditions, especially in distance and flexible teaching
• working preventively and promoting increased throughput, motivation, and goal fulfillment
• supporting work within KAA through coaching, guidance, and adaptations for young people who need extra support to approach studies or work
• collaborating with internal and external actors, such as study and career counselors, KAA coordinators, labor market units, the Employment Service, and other partners
• participating in development work related to the Learning Center's long-term mission

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• has a degree in special education
• has experience working in schools, adult education, and/or KAA activities
• has good knowledge of adaptations, accessible learning environments, and special educational interventions
• is confident in a guiding and coaching role
• has good digital skills and preferably experience in distance education

Personal Qualities

You are structured, relationship-building, and have a solution-focused approach. You meet both young and adult participants with attentiveness and clarity, and you have a strong commitment to individuals' development and establishment in studies and working life.

Other Information

The position is located in Gnesta and Trosa, with travel between the locations included. It is desirable to have a B driver's license and access to a car.

Employment rate: 75 - 100%

Employment form: Fixed-term until 2026-12-31

Temporary employment linked to state funding, with the possibility of extension depending on continued financing.

Start date: by agreement
