RESPONSIBILITIES

You will teach violin and viola, either individually or in small groups. You will be part of the string working team with three other colleagues, and together you form the important hub for your subject development at the school. You will participate in the string orchestra work and take great responsibility for your specific tasks, in consultation with your closest colleagues. You are expected to be independent in your work, accustomed to driving development in daily tasks.

You will also participate in joint meetings and activities and be active regarding your own professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• has a university degree with a clear main instrument of violin and pedagogy.
• has experience both teaching violin and leading string orchestras. Your violin training is based on a classical foundation but you also have a breadth of genres.
• can arrange music and/or work on adapting orchestra parts as needed.
• has experience planning and conducting concerts with students.
• has a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• has basic IT skills.
• has a B driver's license.

We also see it as meritorious if you have/are:

• competent in viola.
• comfortable playing piano and perhaps even willing to teach a little on this instrument if such a need arises.
• educated in a country other than Sweden.
• multilingual.
• familiar with StudyAlong.
• comfortable using notation software such as Sibelius or Musescore.
