Therapist for Sjöarp Group Housing

Cura Individutveckling is a municipal association with the municipalities of the county as members. Sjöarp Group Housing is tasked with meeting the needs of member municipalities for placements concerning adults with autism with severe issues. Sjöarp can offer integrated housing with daily activities in a calm and secure environment just outside Bräkne-Hoby.

Sjöarp Group Housing has a total of 13 accommodation places distributed across 5 residences. The target group is varied. Some have greater care needs while others may have high-functioning autism.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a therapist, you will support the client with personal care and a meaningful everyday life and leisure activities. You will follow the client throughout the day, including in daily activities where the engagement is tailored to the client's own needs and conditions.

To create security for the clients, we use clarifying pedagogy, which has its origins in TEACCH pedagogy, as well as low-arousal responses and MI.

QUALIFICATIONS

We want you to have relevant post-secondary education in behavioral science, social work, or pedagogy, or relevant high school education such as care and nursing or child and leisure studies with a focus on pedagogical and social work. Experience in similar work is an advantage. Experience in meeting individuals with self-harming behavior and outward aggression is also beneficial.

The work requires that you have a calm and secure demeanor and good collaboration skills. Quality assurance work and documentation require that you can communicate clearly in both speech and writing and have computer skills.

You must have a B driver's license (manual) and a valid extract from the police criminal record.
