Personal Assistant Needed in Karlshamn Municipality

On behalf of our client in Karlshamn municipality, we are looking for a mature personal assistant who is attentive to our client's needs and wishes. The position is a smaller weekend job with the possibility to cover hours during regular staff absence.

Who are we looking for?

The client is a girl looking for an active assistant who enjoys finding activities and a varied job. You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. You are a positive person who enjoys taking initiative and responsibility, and you have good problem-solving skills. You are resilient and solution-oriented in challenging situations. As a personal assistant, you need to be observant, responsive, and confident in your role. You should be able to prevent and manage risky situations and create structure in daily life.

Meritorious:

• It is a plus if you speak Serbian or Bosnian.
• Have a driver's license
• Have experience with NPF
• Experience with AAC and visual support
• Previously worked as a personal assistant
• Education in healthcare & nursing

About the client:

The client is a girl who is social, positive, and has a high activity level. Due to lack of impulse control and high activity level, she does not see potential risks such as traffic dangers. The client also has a tendency to wander off or escape, has strong curiosity, and may explore dangerous objects such as scissors, switches, and contacts. In larger social contexts, she may feel nervous and then needs support and guidance from her assistant.

The client enjoys swimming, playing at playgrounds, music, and dancing.

You can work days, evenings, and weekends. Personal assistance is provided at all hours of the day. Experience in personal assistance is a plus. You will be part of a team that works together with and for the client.

Your Responsibilities

Tasks related to the profession. This can range from individualized care to household chores. Assistance is primarily provided in the client's home but also involves accompanying them on activities outside the home. You work in a supportive and motivating manner. Training will be provided on-site and through Monument Assistans.
