Hellsten Gears AB is growing – and we are looking for you who want to be part of building our renovation workshop and starting our new car workshop (specializing in drivetrains) where we troubleshoot and install our products in customer vehicles.

About Hellsten Gears AB

Our product range consists of automatic and manual gearboxes, transfer cases, and differentials for passenger cars and light trucks with combustion engines, hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric vehicles.

Our customers appreciate that we are early in launching products (for new cars) and skilled at learning new products. We decide for ourselves when our jobs should be completed, but it is important that we keep our promises. We are happy and proud to find efficient working methods that make us unique and competitive with products that have both high quality and competitive prices.

To succeed, a competent team is needed that also understands that we need to spend time continuously developing our knowledge, our collaboration skills, and our good atmosphere. Our business is based on unique expertise that we gain by investigating, testing, learning from our mistakes, and, not least, listening and discussing with each other. If you enjoy working with both your brain and hands, love solving problems, and are curious about how mechanics and electronics interact in modern cars – then you will thrive with us.

About the role

As a mechanic with us, you will work broadly and variably, but you do not need to know everything from the start. There is also the possibility of specialization. Examples of tasks:

  • Renovate gearboxes, differentials, and transfer cases
  • Document troubleshooting and work in a careful and structured manner
  • Weld, blast, and mill to repair or improve parts or tools

You will receive internal guidance in our renovation processes from experienced colleagues. We believe in knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

We are looking for someone who is

  • Meticulous and methodical – you like to do things right and find the causes of faults
  • Curious – you want to understand how things work and why they break
  • Solution-oriented – you don’t give up until you find a working solution
  • Interested in how it went – you are engaged in how your solutions worked
  • Practically skilled – you may have experience from workshops, industrial production, welding, blasting, or similar

Desirable skills and experiences

  • Certifications in e.g. automotive electronics, AC, or welding
  • Understanding of how mechanical systems interact with electronics and computer control
  • Experience in blasting, turning, welding, or similar mechanical workshop production

We offer you

  • An expanding company with clear growth goals
  • Modern workshop facilities in Fjärås with access to a gym and wellness benefits
  • A competent and helpful team where knowledge and further development are at the center
  • Practical training on-site in our renovation processes
  • Opportunity to grow in a role where you take significant technical responsibility
