About the Role
Do you want to work with technology in a socially important operation – and at the same time contribute to Sweden's fossil-free electricity supply?
We are now looking for two Visual Inspectors for Ringhals Nuclear Power Plant who want to help ensure the operation of some of Sweden's most important technical systems. In this role, you will work both practically and coordinatively with maintenance and development of the plant's reactor-related systems.
You will be part of an engaged team that works with planning, execution, and improvement of technical maintenance. About Us
The Primary System Service, Fuel, and Testing group is an operational maintenance group that plans and executes maintenance activities within the mentioned areas. The group is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance. The group is also responsible for visual inspections throughout the facility.
As a Visual Inspector at Ringhals, you will perform and document visual inspections of plant components that are crucial for the safety and availability of the nuclear power plant.
The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in maintenance, technology, quality, and safety, and is particularly central during audits and planned production stops.
About the Position
As a Visual Inspector at Ringhals, you will work with qualified visual inspection of plant parts and components that are critical for the safety of the nuclear power plant. The inspection work is carried out according to applicable nuclear regulations, Ringhals' internal governing documents, and established quality and safety requirements.
Examples of tasks:
- Perform visual inspections of, for example, piping systems, welds, mechanical structures, and pressure-bearing components
- Identify, assess, and report deviations in accordance with applicable requirements
- Document and follow up inspection results in technical systems
- Contribute to the development and improvement of working methods, routines, and instructions
- Ensure compliance with requirements in nuclear safety, radiation protection, and work environment
- Collaborate with internal and external resources during audits
The work takes place both during normal operations and in connection with audits and planned stops, often in close collaboration with maintenance, technology, and operations. The position involves an increased workload during audit periods, which requires endurance, flexibility, and working within tight deadlines.
Requirements
About You
You have a methodical approach to work and feel equally comfortable in routines as in situations where you need to find new solutions. You are meticulous and structured and take responsibility for ensuring that results are of high quality. Collaboration comes naturally to you, both in daily work within the team and together with other parts of the organization. You contribute to a positive and safe work environment, and you are independent and confident in making decisions within given frameworks.
Formal Requirements:
- Technical education at least at the high school level, for example in mechanics, industry, or maintenance
- Experience in visual inspection within industry, energy, or process operations
- Good ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Experience from nuclear power or other safety-classified operations
- Driving license B
