Material Handler for Halland Group
The Home Guard is undergoing a large and comprehensive change process to meet future tasks and requirements. The Home Guard units consist of approximately 22,000 people organized in about 40 battalions that are part of the Armed Forces' operational organization.
The Halland Group (HAG) within the Western Military Region/MR V is responsible for maintaining and developing the 45th Home Guard Battalion.
The task includes conducting both basic and refresher training for soldiers, officers, and unit parts, as well as ensuring that the equipment is in good condition.
The Logistics Section is responsible for logistics and technical services, as well as support to the Home Guard battalion. The section currently consists of a logistics manager, material officer, and a technical services officer. The section is responsible for material distribution, basic inspections, special inspections, managing equipment in use, handling our support systems, and providing logistical support during the planning and execution of training. The section also supports administration and execution of training.
The Halland Group is now seeking a material handler for placement in the logistics section.
YOUR MAIN TASKS:
- Support others in the section with practical material handling
- Support the unit's material service
- Support the implementation of care, supervision, and training within the material service at the Home Guard Battalion
- Support the planning and introduction of new materials/new material systems to the Home Guard Battalion
REQUIREMENTS:
- Swedish citizen
- Category B driver's license
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previously employed in the Armed Forces
- Knowledge of the Armed Forces' material
- Previous experience in logistics within the Armed Forces
- Previous experience in purchasing work, e.g., trained purchaser
- BVKF trained (handling and storage of flammable goods)
- Instructor in a special function, e.g., material service, vehicles, medical care, shooting instructor, etc.
- Understand and utilize support systems such as PRIO and LIFT
- Category C driver's license / Operator certificate: Heavy truck, forklift, wheel loader
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
To thrive in this role, it is important that you are communicative, energetic, and enjoy creating new contacts. You are responsible and proactive with a good ability to drive work forward both independently and as part of a team. The position involves some weekend work, evening shifts, and travel within Sweden. Heavy lifting and outdoor work in all seasons are required.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
OTHER
Permanent employment CVAT 100%. Evening and weekend work occurs.
The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.
Start date as soon as possible by agreement.
Work location Halmstad, business trips with overnight stays may occur.
Individual salary applies.
The position entails military placement.
Security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment according to §19 of the Security Protection Act. The position is classified in security class 2.
