About the Role

Engineer/Technician for Reactor-Close Systems – Ringhals Nuclear Power Plant

Do you want to work with technology in a socially important operation – and at the same time contribute to Sweden's fossil-free electricity supply?

We are now looking for an Engineer/Technician for Ringhals Nuclear Power Plant who wants to help ensure the operation of some of Sweden's most important technical systems. In this role, you will work both practically and coordinatively with maintenance and development of the plant's reactor-close systems.

You will be part of an engaged team that works with planning, implementation, and improvement of technical maintenance. This is a role for you who enjoy combining technology, problem-solving, and collaboration – and who wants to develop in an environment where safety and quality are always at the forefront.

About Us

The Primary System Service, Fuel and Testing group is an operational maintenance group that plans and performs maintenance activities within the mentioned areas. The group is responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance. The responsibility also includes the tools, equipment, and workshops required to operate and develop the business.

As an engineer/technician, you play a central role in ensuring the operational reliability of the facilities by planning, coordinating, and implementing necessary maintenance measures in a structured and efficient manner. New working methods and routines are being developed, which provides an opportunity to help shape the future of primary system service.

Examples of Tasks:

  • plan, execute, and be responsible for maintenance related to the facilities' primary systems and transport within assigned areas of responsibility
  • prepare the group's planned work, which includes updating instructions, documented risk assessments, and using fault prevention methods
  • carry out planned activities within the business, in the capacity of coordination for the group's assignments, as well as manufacturing and servicing of tools and equipment

Requirements

About You

We are looking for someone who

  • has completed upper secondary education, preferably with a technical focus
  • has previous experience in mechanical maintenance work, preferably within the process industry
  • holds a B driver's license
  • has very good knowledge of Swedish spoken and written, and is proficient in English

The position includes an increased workload during the maintenance periods, which requires endurance, flexibility, and work within tight deadlines. The position also requires some shift work during these periods.

We are looking for someone who sees the way forward as an opportunity rather than a challenge. You are solution-oriented and proactive, and you take responsibility for driving your work forward while always prioritizing safety. You thrive in close collaboration both internally within the group and with other groups, and you are a team player who contributes to a positive group dynamic.
