About the unit
FMTIS has four operational units (GE) in Sweden that maintain the Armed Forces' command systems in the IT and telecommunications area, the position is located at GE West. The unit works with the maintenance of the Armed Forces' telecommunications network, electrical/mechanical systems, radio, sensor, surveillance, and field systems, as well as installation, operation, and maintenance of various IT systems.
The department in Halmstad consists of two sections, a Telecom section and an IT section with about 35 employees.
Main responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the alarm technician involve performing service and installation as well as commissioning of technical security systems. This is carried out within and outside the Halmstad garrison at various types of facilities. The work involves primarily working at Armed Forces facilities mainly in western Sweden and in other parts of the country. Handling integration of security products in local and global network structures. You will work in a team with technicians who together are responsible for operation and maintenance, both inside and outside the garrison.

Qualifications
- Upper secondary education in the field of electricity and/or telecommunications or equivalent knowledge assessed by the employer as equivalent.
- Current and relevant work experience in alarm and access control systems.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Driving license B (manual transmission)

Meritorious
- Work experience from service jobs with electromechanical locks.
- Good knowledge of surveillance systems.
- Good knowledge of security solutions in networks and servers.
- Approved climbing training for work with significant elevation differences according to AFS 2019:3 71§
Other
Civil permanent employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. During this period, medical checks and training for work in masts and towers will be conducted. These must be approved within the probationary period and are a requirement for the position to transition to a permanent employment. More information about this will be provided during a possible job interview.
