We are now looking for a structured, analytical, and collaborative troubleshooter/technician for a full-time position at Alstom. Your future role

You will report to Cengiz Dogan (Customer Site Manager) and work together in a group with competent and engaged colleagues who will help you integrate into the work and team in the best way. The tasks are varied and include warranty repairs, troubleshooting, modifications, and commissioning of Zefiro X80 vehicles. Currently, we work during the day but may occasionally work at night when we conduct vehicle tests. – Perform system tests of the vehicles.

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing troubleshooting and warranty repairs of Zefiro vehicles.
  • Conducting testing and commissioning of vehicles according to instructions.
  • Managing technical investigations.
  • Handling reporting of field data and other administration of forms, etc.
  • Supporting validation of maintenance documentation.
  • Staying updated regarding changes in maintenance documentation.
  • Completing vehicles for delivery to the customer.

To be authorized as a train technician, our employees need to undergo Alstom's internal training program with a passing result. This training is conducted during regular working hours and at no cost.

Who are you?

To succeed as a troubleshooter and technician, you need to have strong technical skills and an eye for detail.

You need to be structured and enjoy working according to clear processes. We also believe that you like to work towards deadlines to get the trains out on time. You are good at organizing and planning your work well.

We also believe you are analytical and enjoy performing technical troubleshooting and finding solutions to problems. Furthermore, it is important that you are meticulous and have a strong sense of responsibility, as the work of a troubleshooter directly impacts the safety and health of all passengers. Good communication and collaboration skills are also important as you work together with other technicians and staff at our depot.

To succeed in the role:

  • Education/experience or a strong passion for vehicle electronics, vehicle technology, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience or understanding of troubleshooting in the aviation, industrial, or automotive industries or similar where repair and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and digital control systems are part of your daily work.
  • We would like you to be accustomed to assembling electrical and mechanical components according to drawings and instructions.
  • If you have good knowledge of electrical systems, that is a big plus.
  • Work experience with heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses is a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and the ability to solve complex problems is desirable.
  • Familiarity with the railway industry is an advantage.
  • You read and speak both English and Swedish fluently.
  • Interest in software (understanding how logical functions are built within software, software uploads, etc.).

As the tasks are significant for traffic safety, a passed medical examination is required before any employment can begin, which will be arranged by Alstom.
