In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.

Home Care Service

Working in home care service is about meeting people – around the kitchen table, in the small moments of everyday life, and in conversations that mean more than one might first think.

It’s about creating security and helping someone to stay at home, and about making a difference little by little, every day.

We are now looking for a new colleague for the home care service in Västra Visby for a temporary position lasting 7 months. Perhaps you are the one who wants a job where care, responsibility, and relationships are the most important. With us, you will meet people with different life stories and needs, and no day is like the other.

As an employee in home care service, you will have a structured workday, but since you work with people, things can change – therefore, you need to enjoy a flexible job. You will visit clients independently, but you will always belong to a team where you support each other and share responsibilities. Your workday will take you around Visby – on foot, by bike, or by car.

With us, you will have a meaningful job where you contribute to security and quality of life, together with engaged colleagues, in a job that truly makes a difference.

  • Provide support, assistance, and motivation based on each client’s individual needs and wishes.
  • Perform personal care.
  • Carry out medical interventions on delegation.
  • Assist with cooking, escorting, shopping, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Work based on clear action plans with the individual at the center.
  • Work flexibly based on the needs of the service, even in other groups or departments.

As a contact person, you will also be responsible for:

  • Establishing and following up on action plans.
  • Documenting interventions in our digital systems.
  • Maintaining contact with relatives.
  • Collaborating with home healthcare, rehabilitation, case managers, and other home care groups.
  • Using our digital planning tool as support in daily work.

The work is scheduled and includes day, evening, and every other weekend shifts.

Who Are You?

We are primarily looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. Nursing assistant is a protected professional title, and a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required according to current regulations. Experience from home care or nursing work is meritorious.

If you are a residential assistant, we would like you to have a completed upper secondary education. It is an advantage if you have a healthcare-oriented education, such as a care assistant, as well as experience in nursing work or home care.

About you: To thrive with us, you are flexible and can adapt to the changes of everyday life. You work independently in the client’s home but also enjoy close collaboration with colleagues and other professionals. You are service-oriented and empathetic, creating security through respectful interaction. With a holistic view, you see both the client’s needs and the service’s goals, and you can analyze situations and find solutions in everyday life.

Driving license and mobility: For the position, you need to be able to cycle and navigate in all weather conditions and throughout the seasons. A B driver's license is an advantage.
