The Rehabilitation Unit at the Hospital

At Visby Hospital, there are ten departments, both in surgical and medical care, as well as many clinics where physiotherapists staff all departments and some clinics.

The hospital has a close collaboration with, among others, Karolinska University Hospital.

Visby Hospital is beautifully located by the sea, and during the summer, the patient clientele is expanded with tourists from near and far. Gotland is a fantastic place to live, with a rich sports and cultural life, untouched nature, and a creative entrepreneurial spirit.

Your Responsibilities

You will be part of an engaged team consisting of physiotherapists and occupational therapists with high competence and broad experience. Meetings with patients, assessments, and training are daily tasks, as well as documentation and prescription, as well as the testing of assistive devices.

Collaboration across professional boundaries occurs continuously to ensure patient safety and patient flow. In addition to the staff at the hospital, we also have regular contact with orthopedic technicians, assistive device consultants, outpatient care, and home care rehabilitation staff.

In some departments, you will be part of the team rounds. Some Saturday shifts may be included in the position. Placement will be based on your competence and experience.

Who Are You?

You are a licensed physiotherapist. Interest, competence, and experience in inpatient care are meritorious, but we also place great importance on personal suitability. You should be easy to collaborate with, flexible, and able to work independently.

You should be interested in meeting people in varied situations, be calm, pedagogical, and secure in your professional role, and see solutions and improvements as a natural part of the work.

Before a hiring decision, a background check will be conducted through an extract from the criminal record.
