We are now looking for a dedicated district nurse to join our wonderful team at Vårdcentralen Kil!

Your Workplace

Vårdcentralen Kil has nearly 12,000 registered patients and about 35 employees.

We are a well-functioning healthcare center with experienced and committed staff. We are a great group that really enjoys working together and caring for one another!

The healthcare center is beautifully located about 20 kilometers north of Karlstad and has good transport connections, with both bus and train options available. You will work in a team alongside doctors (district, ST, and AT doctors), nursing assistants, medical secretaries, podiatrists, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, and caretakers. The healthcare center also has a physiotherapy clinic, BMM, BVC, and a laboratory.

We operate from a health-promoting perspective regarding the work environment, offering wellness grants and time for health-promoting activities when the operations allow.

Your Responsibilities

As a district nurse, you will perform standard tasks within primary care, such as independent outpatient work and telephone advice. In acute care situations, our approach is based on a cross-professional acute team.

We also offer specialist nursing clinics for diabetes, heart failure, asthma/COPD, and dementia. An important part of the job is also to supervise our students from various educational levels.

We work in the Cosmic journal system.

Your Skills and Competencies

We primarily seek a licensed district nurse, but we also welcome nurses with specialist competence in diabetes, asthma/COPD, dementia, or heart failure.

We value personal qualities such as stability and participation for a good work environment and safety culture.

As a person, you are social and outgoing with a good ability to build relationships and interact with patients, relatives, and colleagues in a positive and respectful manner. Working in a team and collaborating with all staff categories is something we highly value, as well as having good self-awareness and independence. You are flexible and stable, able to adapt to changing circumstances and handle stressful situations.
