JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The need for psychiatric care is increasing across Sweden, and thus the need for new strategies and methods in meeting clients/patients. Your tasks will be varied and stimulating; you will supervise the basic staff within care and support, social workers, and therapists in outpatient care. The role includes collaborating with other professionals in healthcare, as well as following research in the field and implementing new knowledge in your daily work. To ensure that our clients/patients receive the right interventions based on their needs, we need to develop collaboration with other care providers. You will help shape a preventive and accessible social service, as well as assist in developing our employees' competencies to offer a knowledge-based social service/care.

In accordance with the new Social Services Act (2025/2026), the social services in Torsby are transitioning to be more preventive and accessible. For a psychiatric nurse, this means:

• Supervision: Supporting and guiding staff within support functions, IFO, and care and support to early identify/discover and meet individuals with mental health issues.
• Collaboration: Working in interdisciplinary teams to ensure that early interventions are implemented before problems worsen.
• Competence Development: Responsible for raising the knowledge level regarding psychiatric diagnoses within the municipal organization.
• Preventive Work: Implementing methods where interventions can be provided without needs assessment to increase accessibility for residents.

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed nurse with specialist training in psychiatric care.

Experience working in psychiatry is an advantage.

You have good collaboration skills, a professional demeanor, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Experience in supervising other professionals is an advantage.
