The Dermatology Care in Värmland has a county-wide responsibility.

The outpatient operations take place at the dermatology and STI clinic at the Central Hospital in Karlstad. The operations have treatment units in five different locations in the county. The clinic has 46 employees, of which 15 are doctors.

Karlstad is located by Lake Vänern and has good connections to the three largest cities in the Nordic region.

Region Värmland has generous programs for those interested in research and there is an established collaboration with Örebro University Hospital.

Your Tasks

We welcome both experienced specialists and doctors at the beginning of their careers.

As a specialist doctor, you will work variably within the entire field of dermatology and venereology. The position is a permanent employment.

As a resident doctor, you will work under supervision. The position is initially a fixed-term employment for 6-9 months, with the possibility of permanent employment thereafter.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for someone who is a specialist in dermatology and venereology or a licensed doctor who is eligible for residency in the field. You have good language skills in Swedish, at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.

You have a strong interest in dermatology and venereology. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities such as good collaboration skills, good communication skills, and an empathetic approach, which contribute to a positive and developing work environment. You should actively contribute to the clinic's improvement work and the development of the clinic's knowledge capital.
