JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a data protection officer, it is your task to monitor that the authority complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have both a supportive and supervisory role in ensuring that personal data is processed correctly and legally. The data protection officer must collect information on how the authority handles personal data and inform and advise on the GDPR and related legislation. Furthermore, you will also serve as a point of contact for the supervisory authority and for the registered individuals as well as the staff within the authority.

Your work as a data protection officer includes monitoring internal compliance with the GDPR and other applicable data protection legislation, reporting on deficiencies and development needs in data protection issues, assisting in the investigation of personal data incidents, and providing advice on impact assessments. Additionally, you will conduct environmental monitoring, networking, and knowledge acquisition in the field. The position is located at the legal department, planning and coordination unit, but you have an independent role in the organization as a data protection officer and report directly to the agency management. There are good opportunities for remote work of up to 60 percent depending on individual circumstances.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Law degree
• Previous experience as a data protection officer or similar experience in the field
• Good knowledge of the GDPR and related legislation
• Very good ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

It is an advantage if you have:

• Training in the field of data protection
• Law degree
• Notary qualification
• Experience working in public administration
