Do you want to work with technical maintenance of railway vehicles and contribute to safe, reliable, and efficient train traffic? We are now looking for train technicians for both ongoing maintenance (X3) and heavy maintenance in depot and workshop environments. Whether you enjoy being close to operations or prefer working with larger technical interventions and revisions, there is a role for you here.

About the position

As a train technician, you will work with maintenance and technical measures on railway vehicles to ensure high safety, functionality, and availability. The work includes mechanical and electrical systems and is carried out according to established instructions, routines, and safety requirements.

The areas of focus include:

Maintenance X3

  • Preventive and corrective maintenance of vehicle type X3

  • Troubleshooting and action in depot and workshop environments

  • Ongoing service and safety inspections

Heavy maintenance

  • Larger repairs, revisions, and modifications

  • Technically demanding work with a longer time horizon

  • Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and documentation

Your tasks
  • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance according to the maintenance plan

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical faults

  • Work according to technical documentation, drawings, and electrical schematics

  • Document completed work in the maintenance system

  • Follow applicable safety, quality, and work environment requirements

About you

You have a technical interest and experience in maintenance work within trains, vehicles, or industry. You work in a structured manner, are meticulous, and have a strong safety mindset. As a person, you take responsibility for your work, enjoy collaborating with others, and contribute to quality and operational reliability in your daily work.

We are looking for someone who has
  • High school education in vehicles, electrical, technology, mechanics, or industry (or equivalent documented work experience)

  • Experience in technical maintenance within trains, rail vehicles, or similar industry

  • Familiarity with working in depot or workshop environments

  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

  • Basic English for technical documentation

Meritorious
  • Experience with X3 or other railway vehicles

  • Experience in heavy maintenance, revisions, or modifications

  • Post-secondary education in railway or vehicle technology

  • Electrical and electrical safety training

  • Forklift, crane, or lifting training

Other
  • Work may occur in shifts, nights, and weekends
