Service Technician at Tidaholm Prison

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a service technician at the loading center of Tidaholm Prison, you will be part of a workgroup where the tasks mainly consist of receiving all goods that are to enter the prison, which means:

• You check goods that will be forwarded to employment (e.g., materials, tools, often larger deliveries). All transports that are to go through the wall must be scanned or searched, which means that the staff in the loading area both picks up and delivers at the workshops/employment.
• Furthermore, you check all mail and packages that come to staff (smaller deliveries). The group is also responsible for sorting deliveries for distribution to the prison's various departments/employment.
• In addition to mail and packages as well as various deliveries, you are responsible for delivering food to the departments and collecting dishes and replenishing supplies inside the prison.

To get started in the job, you will receive an introduction and close initial collaboration with the service technicians on site. Collaboration also takes place with other service technicians within the Tidaholm operational area.

QUALIFICATIONS

You work in a structured manner and take responsibility for your tasks regardless of whether you work under time pressure or not. You have good teamwork skills and a service-oriented approach and can easily adapt to different situations that arise.

You are aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others, and you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in the individual's will and ability to develop. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.

Before the summer temporary position, there is an opportunity to have an hourly position before the summer. After the summer position, there is an opportunity for continued hourly work.

Requirements:

• Completed upper secondary education with final grades in a direction that the employer deems relevant
• Work experience within flows, flow charts, and warehousing, or equivalent work experience that the employer deems relevant
• Ability to express oneself well in spoken and written Swedish
• Driving license B

Meritorious:

• Forklift license A-D
• Driving license C
• Experience and/or training in X-ray equipment
• Experience and/or training in UBW data systems

There is an opportunity to start working hourly before 2026-06-01, as well as after the summer temporary position 2026-08-16.
