Project Management Office Opportunities

Are you ready to take the next step in your project management career and work in a global, innovative, and technology-driven organization? We are now looking for experienced professionals to join our Project Management Office (PMO) – in both leadership and operational roles.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the business, drive complex development projects, and contribute to structure, quality, and long-term stability in an organization with strong growth ambitions.

Roles we are looking for

  • Senior PMO Manager / PMO Head
  • Responsible for governance, oversight, and further development of the project portfolio and roadmap models. The role is both strategic and hands-on, with active participation in projects.
  • Project Manager / Project Leader (PL)
  • Drive development projects from start to finish, often in cross-functional and global teams, focusing on instrument, hardware, and software development within Life Science.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and follow up on projects and project portfolios with responsibility for time, cost, and quality
  • Establish and further develop processes, tools, and working methods within PMO
  • Ensure effective governance, risk management, and resource planning
  • Act as a support and coach to project managers and line organization
  • Work closely with R&D, product development, and management in a flat organization
  • Participate in global collaborations, including meetings with US-based teams

We are looking for someone who has

  • At least 10 years of experience in project management and/or PMO work
  • Experience in driving development projects within Life Science, preferably related to chemistry, biology, or medical technology
  • A strong plus is a good understanding of instrument development, hardware, mechanics, and technology
  • Experience working according to ISO 13485 and in regulated environments (medtech/life science)
  • Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally
  • Formal project management training (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
  • Ability to combine structure with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach

Practical information

  • Location: Uppsala
  • Presence: At least 3 days/week on-site
  • Global role with some flexibility regarding working hours
