Here you will work

As a Project Buyer, you will work based on the needs of different operations from the bidding phase to the implementation of customer projects in various contract forms. You will participate in improving the purchasing process and developing purchasing into a natural partner for the business. You will have close collaboration with other buyers, project managers, lawyers, and other commercial functions within Vattenfall.

Main Responsibilities

• Work in the bidding process in close collaboration with bid engineers and project managers to ensure effective and competitive bids.
• Conduct purchases and procurements of materials, services, and contracts according to specified requirements and guidelines.
• Actively create, develop, and maintain long-term supplier relationships to ensure high quality and delivery reliability.
• Participate in the development of effective processes, working methods, and tools that support the purchasing process and create added value for both purchasing and the business.
• Collaborate closely with technical and project departments within the organization as well as other demanding units to ensure that purchasing needs are met effectively and cost-consciously.

Requirements

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• A relevant theoretical education in areas such as engineering, economics, purchasing, or equivalent, or corresponding experience deemed relevant for the role.
• Extensive experience in successful procurement of materials, services, and contracts. Preferably in contract forms AB, ABT, AB-U, ABT-U, and AMA.
• Solid experience in successful negotiations, purchasing, and procurement in complex organizations.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in leading and driving the development of procurement processes and tools to improve efficiency and results.
• Previous leadership experience in roles such as team leader or project manager.
• Experience in the energy sector.

We are looking for someone with procurement experience who is driven to create effective purchasing processes. You are structured, meticulous, and analytical, with good business understanding and the ability to see the big picture. You work independently but enjoy collaborating with others, where knowledge sharing and support are central. With clarity, integrity, and good communication skills, you build strong relationships both internally and externally.
