JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Adult Reception consists of a total of 7 employees and a unit manager. We are expanding and are therefore looking for an 8th colleague for the reception. Those of us working in the team have extensive experience in social work in various areas. The work group continuously collaborates both internally within the team and the administration, as well as externally with other actors. For the reception's work to function, it requires that everyone contributes and can collaborate as well as work independently when necessary. Furthermore, it is required that one can juggle multiple tasks at the same time, can quickly adapt, and be flexible in their work. Remote work is applied to a certain extent.

As a social worker in the Adult Reception, you are the first contact with adults applying for support from the social welfare board. The main cases include financial assistance, harmful use and dependency, as well as violence in close relationships. You work with authority exercise and handle incoming applications and reports based on SoL (Social Services Act) and, if applicable, LVM (Act on Care of Abusers in Certain Cases). The unit has the main responsibility regarding authority exercise related to violence in close relationships.

We have a preventive focus to help residents achieve a functioning independent life at an early stage. You will have an important role in informing and guiding individuals and the public on issues related to social services work with adults and to the community's efforts in general.

We have a positive view of people, which means that we assume everyone takes responsibility and can, wants to, and is allowed to contribute to the work's results. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education, and experience in handling cases related to, for example, financial assistance, violence, harmful use and dependency, mental disabilities, or other areas within social services. You are familiar with current legislation and have knowledge of the community's support systems. We consider it a merit if you have training and previous experience in using investigation and follow-up instruments, such as FREDA, SARA, PATRIARK. We use the operational systems Lifecare and Cosmic Link, so experience with these systems is also a merit. Since business trips occur, a B driver's license is a requirement for the position.

The work places high demands on collaboration and that you function well in both team-based and independent work. We expect you to be social, structured, and have the ability to take responsibility and complete tasks. You should be calm and stable in pressured situations. You have good collaboration skills and the ability to create good relationships. You are used to expressing yourself both verbally and in writing. We believe that you are curious and creative in your work and that you have the ability to sort and prioritize what needs to be done both in the short and long term. We also believe that you are interested in contributing to the overall development of the organization.
