Functional Support

We are now looking for support educators for our operations within Functional Support. In 2025, we started implementing support educators and are now taking the next step in our development work.

You will be a valuable resource in the implementation of pedagogical development in our operations. Relevant areas for these positions concern social psychiatry and special housing within LSS.

Your Responsibilities

Together with the work team, you provide the individual with tailored support in their daily life and leisure. The work is based on a pedagogical and salutogenic approach focused on the individual's development opportunities and quality of life. You have a specific task to support the individual in finding strategies to manage their daily and professional life as well as their contacts in various social contexts. You are proactive in the pedagogical work of the organization and have a guiding function for your colleagues regarding the establishment and follow-up of individual implementation plans, coordinated individual plans (SIP), and the associated documentation.

Upon employment, you will participate in several training initiatives, including the method support Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) and other organization-specific training initiatives.

You will be part of a network with other support educators and other professionals, with continuous guidance and meeting formats to ensure good implementation and create the right conditions in the organization. You, together with the respective contact staff, are responsible for ensuring that network meetings and behavioral support plans for the individual are carried out and that implementation plans are established and followed up.

As a support educator, you participate in the everyday work and have a central role in the organization's quality development regarding pedagogy, documentation, and methods, in addition to being a support for your colleagues in these areas. Working with us means being involved in the daily work of developing the organization regarding communicative methods, routines, and a common approach.

The work involves actively participating in various tasks that include everything from care work, pedagogical support in everyday life, networking, documentation, and evaluation, as well as providing support in daily life.

Your Qualifications

You who apply should have a pedagogical university education, at least 60 credits in relevant subjects, or a KY/YH education in the field, with experience deemed suitable for the assignment by the employer. It is an advantage if you have a secondary education in care and if you have worked with people with various functional variations.

You have good communication skills and work methodically and pedagogically. You must be able to work independently and in a structured manner, take initiative, and contribute to the further development of work methods. You have a well-developed personal maturity where collaboration skills, responsiveness, creativity, and clarity are a natural part of your work. You are not afraid of development work and can easily inspire and include colleagues and the individual. In this position, it is important that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

Two of these positions are aimed at work within social psychiatry. Here we encounter complex issues with comorbidity where multiple psychiatric diagnoses may occur, and substance abuse and criminality can be part of the problem. For these positions, we are looking for someone with extended knowledge of this issue combined with pedagogical competence. Please indicate in your application if you have an interest in this area.

The work is directed towards operations within Functional Support. The placement of the position may involve work in Västervik and Gamleby. There are irregular working hours with day, evening, and weekend shifts.
