Family Law Secretary to the Child and Family Unit
The Child and Family Unit is part of the social services in Borgholm Municipality. The unit consists of seven social workers who investigate and follow up on the needs of children and young people for interventions through social services, a foster care secretary, and a family law secretary. We are a competent and well-functioning workgroup that places great importance on the work environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a family law secretary, your task is to support children and parents in family law matters based on the Parental Code and the Social Services Act. Family law conducts information meetings, writes statements, and investigates issues regarding custody, residence, and visitation at the request of the district court. You will lead collaboration meetings at the initiative of parents and, in some cases, at the request of the district court. You will handle paternity/parenthood cases, write agreements regarding custody, residence, and visitation, and implement visitations with visitation support. Furthermore, it also includes conducting consent investigations for adoption, including follow-up reports, as well as other customary but less frequently occurring tasks in the field.
The work as a family law secretary is done in collaboration with the foster care secretary, where each has primary responsibility for their area but collaborates in parts where they need a colleague. You will thus have primary responsibility for the family law area but also be involved in the foster care area. The position of foster care secretary includes investigating and recruiting foster homes, contact families, and contact persons, as well as writing agreements and guiding foster homes in their assignments.
