The role of the pedagogue

The overall purpose and goal of the role is that our participants, with the help of individually tailored pedagogical support (IPSU), can become independent and complete educational efforts with satisfactory results.

We are looking for a pedagogue for a part-time position in Oskarshamn. Currently, you will work part-time, about 80%, but there may be opportunities for increased employment.

As a pedagogue, you support individual participants with disabilities who are undergoing training through the Employment Agency. Support is provided in the specific areas where the participant needs assistance, namely through pedagogical interventions and work with assistive devices. Based on the needs in the educational situation, IPSU is tailored with the right competence, pedagogical interventions, and assistive devices for each participant. You will work with participants at the training sites. Travel to various training locations is required.

You will be part of a team with other pedagogues in the nearby area, as well as specialists and coordinators. To thrive in the role, you should feel comfortable working independently with participants, be solution-focused, and flexible. Communication, feedback, and building good relationships with participants, colleagues, and clients are natural for you.

Eligibility requirements

Work experience

• Documented experience working with people with disabilities in an educational setting for at least 1 year.
• Documented experience working with cognitive assistive devices in an educational setting for at least 1 year.

Work experience must be certified with certificates from previous employers.

Educational requirements

Relevant education in pedagogy and/or working with people with disabilities. Proficient in the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Employment
