Personal Assistant Wanted

Alma Assistans is the dedicated company that collaborates with clients to create personalized assistance. We work closely with our clients and know that good relationships are the key to effective assistance. We operate throughout Sweden with our headquarters in Uppsala and local offices in Gävle, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Jönköping, and Växjö.

I am a 43-year-old woman with multiple disabilities seeking a personal assistant who can be my extended arms and legs in daily life. The role involves supporting me with personal care as well as various activities, both at home and outside. It is important that you can help me find the balance between activity and rest – and that you do so with respect, patience, and care.

I communicate through body language and signs, and people who know me well often say that my communication is clear, so it is important that you are attentive, empathetic, and have a good ability to read situations.

About you:

You are a calm, empathetic, and responsible woman who enjoys working closely with another person. You are solution-focused, positive, and see the value in contributing to someone else's quality of life.

Your tasks may include:

• Assisting with personal hygiene and daily routines.
• Joining me for horseback riding and swimming – two of my great interests.
• Accompanying me on walks and other activities.
• Creating structure in daily life and contributing to a safe environment.

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience in care and support.
• Knowledge of epilepsy.
• Driver's license.
• Being smoke-free.

• Organized and flexible.
• A good colleague who enjoys collaboration.
• Familiar or curious about alternative communication.

I use a wheelchair outdoors and make shorter transfers with the support of assistants.

Working hours:

The work is scheduled for all times of the day, including night shifts.
