The elderly care in Umeå municipality aims to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

The municipality's home care service is Umeå's largest provider with the longest experience in personal care and service. The municipality's home care provides various forms of support, service, and care at home. We are the unit that handles all care interventions where our clients live in their own homes within Umeå municipality. Most of our staff are nursing assistants whom we continuously train. The home care service is also responsible for responding to and managing security alarms that occur at night.

Your tasks

As a care worker in the municipal home care service, you are responsible for planning and carrying out care work in people's own homes.

The goal is to enable the elderly or disabled to stay in their homes for as long as they wish.

You work based on the assignment where the client's participation is the focus. This ensures that interventions are carried out with good quality according to the assistance decision and implementation plan.

Scheduled working hours, full-time, assigned day/evening and weekend shifts.

About you

We prefer that you have previous experience in care and nursing, but it is not a requirement. To communicate with clients, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

As a person, you have high integrity, are attentive, empathetic, and enjoy working independently. You show great commitment to both clients and the organization in all relationships and actions.

The position requires a B driver's license.

As there may be animals and smoking in the workplace, you should not be allergic.

Temporary position on a schedule, full-time, starting as soon as possible, by agreement until 2026-06-14.
