Every day, hundreds of cases and matters are decided in courts across Sweden. Our organization consists of employees with various competencies, each of whom is significant in maintaining legal security and high quality at all levels.
The Administrative Court in Malmö is one of Sweden's largest courts and one of the country's four migration courts. The Administrative Court is a general administrative court that primarily resolves disputes between individuals and state or municipal authorities.
The Administrative Court handles approximately 450 different types of cases. The most common types of cases are migration cases, tax cases, social insurance cases, cases under the Social Services Act, cases concerning administrative coercive measures, driving license cases, public procurement cases, and cases regarding delay claims. Additionally, there are cases regarding legality assessments under the Local Government Act and various licensing cases. A significant number of cases have EU law connections.
The Administrative Court has about 300 employees working in modern facilities in a newly built courthouse at Malmö Central Station. The court is characterized by an open and pleasant working environment. The Administrative Court strives for diversity among its staff regarding age, gender, and cultural background. At the Administrative Court, you work alongside engaged colleagues with many different competencies.

Are you a lawyer with a particular interest in migration law? The Administrative Court in Malmö is now seeking ten or more reporting lawyers with a start date to be agreed upon. Recruitment may also be relevant in other areas of law.
Job Responsibilities
As a reporting lawyer, you will perform qualified legal work. The tasks include preparing cases, conducting legal research, presenting cases for decision, serving as a protocol writer during oral hearings, and drafting proposals for judgments or decisions.
As a reporting lawyer, you should stay updated and informed about issues related to current areas of law and otherwise contribute to the court's operational development.
Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must have a recognized Swedish law degree. According to the Act (1971:289) on general administrative courts, reporting lawyers in administrative courts must be Swedish citizens.
You are a meticulous person with a good ability to structure and prioritize your tasks. You express yourself well, both verbally and in writing. Furthermore, you have a very good ability to work independently but also find it easy to collaborate. We place great importance on personal qualities, and therefore testing is part of the recruitment process.
It may be advantageous if you have relevant court experience. It may also be advantageous if you have completed a clerkship. As an employee or former employee of the Swedish Courts, you must have good references from the court to be considered for employment.
To be considered for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means that you uphold democratic values and the governmental values that guide the operations of the Swedish Courts. We require you to follow applicable laws and will conduct background checks on final candidates.
