The government has activated civil duty to strengthen personnel supply within essential societal functions. As part of this mission, approximately 1000 individuals will be trained to be able to be placed in wartime and contribute to vital total defense operations in electricity supply.

Investigation and training of civil duty personnel began in 2025 and will continue until 2028. The mission is carried out within the Civil Duty unit, a relatively newly formed unit within the section for external assignments in the department of security and preparedness. The unit currently consists of nine employees, of which six are consultants.

We are now looking for resource consultants who want to help build and implement this critical societal operation for our client in Örebro.

About the assignment

The assignment concerns resource consultants who strengthen the client in ongoing work. The work is led and directed by the client. The consultant works partly under supervision and partly independently with defined tasks.

The assignment involves identifying and investigating individuals liable for total defense so that they can fulfill their civil duty within electricity supply – a central part of Sweden's total defense.

Tasks

As a resource consultant, you will:

• Investigate individuals liable for total defense based on established selection criteria and received documentation
• Prepare necessary documentation for enrollment and make submissions for enrollment to the Total Defense's Duty and Assessment Authority
• Provide support in handling appeals and interruptions
• Manage ongoing administration for the individuals liable for total defense being investigated
• Maintain ongoing contact with individuals liable for total defense via phone and in writing
• Handle confidential information
• Collaborate internally and externally
• Support in training planning for individuals liable for total defense
• Contribute to the unit's operational development by developing routines and processes

Requirements profile

To be considered for the assignment, you must meet the following requirements:

• University education at least at the bachelor's level, for example in political science, law, or public administration
• At least two years of experience, within the last five years, in investigation or administration that involved making decisions affecting individuals
• At least two years of work experience from public operations
• Driver's license B

The assignment requires that you have relevant education in the field and can handle tasks of a certain level of difficulty. You have 2–5 years of experience in the field and have participated in or performed several similar assignments. The role means that you work under some supervision, but that you can independently perform defined tasks with high quality and a sense of responsibility.
