At Skånetrafiken, we are about 430 dedicated employees. The Business Area (BA) Bus, with our 30 employees, is responsible for bus traffic in Skåne with an annual budget of nearly 3 billion. All traffic is contracted and operated by various transport companies on a contractual basis.

The Traffic Unit is one of three units within the Bus business area. The main mission of the unit is to be responsible for attractive route networks, traffic plans, and timetables in accordance with Skånetrafiken's strategies and goals through collaboration. The unit ensures the operation and maintenance of bus stops as well as planned deviations. RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of senior traffic development manager, you have an extended responsibility to lead and develop the business area's traffic at a strategic level. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring appropriate, attractive, and efficient route networks, traffic plans, and timetables that increase Skånetrafiken's market share, in close collaboration with internal parties, municipalities, the Swedish Transport Administration, and transport companies. You act as an advisory resource for complex issues and ensure that the team has the right conditions to succeed. The role involves leadership, long-term traffic development, and driving the work of planning, coordination, and quality assurance of traffic solutions according to requirements and goals.

Additionally, you will work with:

  • Coaching and coordinating traffic development managers and contributing to the professional development of colleagues.
  • Being responsible for timetable and traffic planning work, including planned deviations within a defined area.
  • Ensuring that transport companies fulfill their part of the agreement related to traffic planning.
  • Being responsible for timetable data and materials for customer information via transport companies.
  • Ensuring quality, customer benefit, and cost-effectiveness in traffic changes, event traffic, and supplementary traffic.
  • Driving the development of strategic initiatives within the Traffic Unit.
  • Actively contributing to the development of the unit and department.

Our new modern headquarters in Hässleholm allows for flexible working methods and cross-functional meetings. Here, you work activity-based and choose your workstation based on your current needs. You have the opportunity to divide your workweek between remote work and on-site work. Our headquarters is located adjacent to the central station. You can easily travel here by train or bus from all over Skåne. To Hässleholm, you can easily travel by train in 20 minutes from Kristianstad, 30 minutes from Älmhult, 30 minutes from Lund, 45 minutes from Malmö, and one hour from Helsingborg.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in urban planning, logistics, economics, or equivalent experience that the employer deems relevant. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English and can express yourself well both verbally and in writing. It is essential that you have previous experience working with traffic and have leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop teams. We also see that you have documented experience in coordinating and organizing activities.

It is an advantage if you have experience in similar work within public transport where you have driven and been responsible for development work with a focus on customer benefit. We would also like you to have experience as a project manager, process leader, or similar, and if you also have training in process and/or project management, it is an advantage. Additionally, we would like you to have experience working in a politically governed organization.
