We are looking for a lab engineer who wants to help design, build, and support the development of the next generation of test labs in imaging technology. ABOUT THE POSITION:
As a lab engineer, you will be part of a small and dynamic team working to develop solutions in mechanics, electronics, and software for advanced imaging labs. You will ensure that the lab environments operate smoothly while actively participating in the development of new labs, tools, and fixtures.
Your responsibilities include, among others:
- Participating in the design and assembly of simpler mechanical and electronic setups, with support from more experienced colleagues
- Assisting with the maintenance of lab equipment and contributing to ensuring that the lab environment is safe, structured, and well-organized
- Creating basic 3D models and printing components using 3D printers
- Assisting with the installation and configuration of software tools on Raspberry Pi and/or Arduino
- Documenting experiments, working methods, and technical details in a clear and structured manner
- Participating in simpler programming tasks in one or more languages, such as Python or Shell scripts, tailored to your level of experience
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
- Has a Master's degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on mechanics, mechatronics, and electronics
- Has basic knowledge of electronics, components, sensors, and microcontrollers
It is a plus if you also have:
- Experience working in Linux and programming in Python
- Experience in CAD design, preferably in Creo or Fusion 360
- Personal hobby projects that include working with Raspberry Pi and/or Arduino

You like to combine a practical approach with a genuine interest in technology and appreciate hands-on work.
