About the Job

Do you want to work as a foster care secretary in the foster care unit in Nordost in an interesting and stimulating environment with a team spirit, good leadership, external supervision, experienced and wonderful colleagues, as well as solid professional development? Then we might be the right workplace for you.

Two of our employees are retiring after long and loyal service in the unit, and a colleague is going on parental leave. Therefore, we are looking for someone who wants to be part of our team. The foster care unit is divided into four different groups: emergency group, recruitment and investigation group, foster care group, and contact activities. The work varies between the different groups, and we collaborate closely with each other based on our different tasks. In the foster care group, the focus is on guiding and supporting foster homes that have received permanent placements of children and young people in their homes. In this, we work in close teamwork with child protection secretaries around each placed child with the goal of creating stable and well-functioning foster placements. The tasks also include investigating prospective foster homes, and you therefore need to express yourself well in writing and have experience in documentation. The workgroup consists of ten employees. There is a team leader for our foster care group.

We are now looking for someone who enjoys thinking outside the box, finding solutions, and wants to be part of our important mission to support the foster homes for our placed children. We value teamwork between foster care secretaries and child protection secretaries and would like you to have a good ability to create trusting relationships and that you are flexible and see opportunities instead of difficulties. The work involves meeting many people, you need to enjoy driving and have a high work pace. We have a trust-based leadership and utilize the capacity and strength that exists. We believe that by working together, we achieve the best for our placed children and foster homes.

Our foster homes are primarily located in Västra Götaland, Halland County, Bohuslän, but also throughout Sweden, which means some travel in the job and sometimes work in the evenings.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. It is an advantage if you have relevant further education such as Kälvesten's interview model, BBIC, and preferably Signs of Safety. It is also advantageous if you have worked as a foster care secretary and within social services.

In your professional role, you have the ability to be calm and stable. You plan and organize your work effectively and can easily prioritize your tasks during the workday when necessary. You have a good ability to create trusting relationships and can support and guide foster homes in their tasks. You can analyze several possible solutions and have the ability to weigh these together for a qualified assessment. You are confident in your professional role and have a reflective mindset and can express yourself easily in writing. Furthermore, we see that you are responsible, taking charge of your own and the shared tasks with the best interests of the organization and clients in focus. You take your tasks seriously, are keen to complete what you have started, and ensure that the work is done correctly.

Since the position involves communication and documentation, it is required that you can articulate well in both speech and writing. Good computer skills are a requirement, and knowledge of Treserva is seen as an advantage.

The job includes travel, so a driver's license and driving experience are required.

Warm welcome with your application!
