Make a difference. Every day.

We are now looking for you who want to be part of our fantastic nursing team in pediatric day surgery and the postoperative department in Lund! Welcome to us on the fourth floor of the Children's and Youth Hospital (Bus).

Pediatric day surgery and the postoperative department are part of the pediatric surgery and neonatal care area. Here we care for children up to 20 years old in connection with surgeries. The department consists of two units, a day surgery unit and a postoperative unit. In the day surgery unit, we have nine beds covering specialties such as surgery, orthopedics, pedodontics, maxillofacial and neurosurgery, as well as ear, nose, and throat surgery. The postoperative unit has seven beds that receive children after anesthesia from all specialties in the children's hospital. As a nurse, you will work in both of our units. From here, the children are then sent on to their respective care department or day care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will work with a variety of postoperative care and day surgery care. In day surgery care, you can follow the patients from the moment they arrive until they are discharged. This involves welcoming the child and their relatives, preparing for surgery, receiving them after surgery, and ensuring they feel well before discharge. In postoperative care, you will take care of the child after surgery until they are ready to move on to the ward or day surgery.

We offer you an interesting and exciting job in a department that is constantly evolving. There are good opportunities to work with different areas of responsibility, and your introduction will be tailored individually based on previous knowledge and experience.

Our opening hours are currently Monday to Thursday from 07:00 to 21:00, Friday from 07:00 to 19:00, and Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00. Working hours may change/increase depending on the needs of the operation.
