Do you want to start your career in a workplace where you can grow, feel secure, and have fun at work? With us, you will meet a warm and dedicated team that is passionate about the well-being of both patients and employees. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop in your role, influence the future of infectious disease care, and be part of a work environment where laughter, collaboration, and support are a natural part of everyday life. Whether you are new to the profession or looking to take the next step, you will have all the conditions for success here.
Are you at the beginning of your career as a nurse and looking for a workplace where you can grow, develop, and feel secure? Do you want a work environment where colleagues support each other, where laughter is shared, and where the team is always close? Then our department might be just right for you.
Here, you will have a varied and meaningful job where you work both independently and in a closely-knit team. We provide round-the-clock care and strive for a workplace with high quality, a good working environment, and satisfied employees who thrive for a long time.
Our department has 28 care beds and receives patients needing isolation for infectious diseases as well as treatment for serious infections. We also care for patients with advanced respiratory support, such as HFNC, NIV, and tracheostomy. You will gain broad and valuable experience where you quickly develop in your professional role.
Right now, we are in the midst of a positive development journey towards the future of infectious disease care. We actively work on nursing projects such as nursing rounds and nursing councils and are in the process of implementing a competence and service model that will provide clearer career paths for nurses.
In our student unit (ISE), you will meet dedicated mentors who are passionate about learning, reflection, and experience exchange, providing extra security for you as a newcomer to the profession.
RESPONSIBILITIES
With us, you will have an exciting, developing, and varied job where the patient is always the focus. We strongly believe in professional development; therefore, we allocate time for internal training and offer a favorable scheduling model that provides reduced working hours.
Infectious care is a perfect area for you who want to learn a lot in a short time, as infections affect the entire body and many patients have comorbidities. You will receive ongoing guidance and support to develop and grow in your role.
The work environment here is characterized by engagement, care, and humor. We work closely together—nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, and support functions—and support each other throughout the entire work shift. Here, we believe that a good work environment is created by security, participation, and joy in everyday life.
As a new colleague, you will receive:
- five weeks of introduction
- clinical basic year
- mentor meetings focusing on security and reflection
- follow-up shadowing after the introduction.
We ensure that you have the right conditions from the start, and we will follow you all the way.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale.
It is an advantage if you have previous experience in infectious care or care of acutely ill patients, but it is not a requirement; we will teach you what you need to know. A new journal system is on the way in, so you should be curious about and comfortable with digital development.
As a person, you are engaged, proactive, and see opportunities in changes. You collaborate well, have the patient's best interest in focus, and thrive in an environment where the pace can shift quickly. Above all, you are someone who contributes to a good atmosphere and teamwork, something we value highly.
Feel free to check out our Instagram, InfektionsavdelningLundSUS, to see more about us. Warm welcome to your application!
We are working with ongoing selection and look forward to getting to know you. With us, you will develop, have fun, and be part of a team that truly cares.
