Dialysis is an exciting field that is constantly evolving, where the interplay between medical technology and nursing is of great importance. With us, chronically ill kidney patients receive regular blood dialysis treatment. We also accept patients with acute kidney failure. To provide the best possible care for our patients, we have a close collaboration between nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, biomedical engineers, and paramedics. Currently, we have about 65 employees.

The unit is characterized by a workplace culture where we help each other to succeed and develop. We value trust and empathy, which are important parts of our leadership. Most of our patients are recurring over a long time. This means that we create long-lasting relationships focused on helping them achieve the best possible quality of life by tailoring dialysis treatment to the individual's needs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a new colleague for our Dialysis Clinic in Lund!

As a nurse, you will work with dialysis care, where your tasks include nursing, medical care, and teaching dialysis patients. You will have special nursing responsibilities for certain patients regarding their long-term planning and treatment. We are an engaged team that enjoys and has fun together while working for the best of our patients. We focus heavily on ensuring that patients feel involved and engaged in their treatments. In our role as a university hospital, there is an opportunity to participate in research projects and teaching students and patients.

We care about our employees' professional development and create opportunities for you to grow within dialysis, nephrology, and other related areas. Region Skåne invests in increased professional development for nurses. For those without prior experience in dialysis, we offer 8 to 12 weeks of tailored training. You will also receive help and support from our educationally responsible nurses.

For newly graduated nurses, there is a Clinical Foundation Year that includes lectures, clinical skills training, and access to a mentor. For nurses who wish to specialize, in addition to educational benefits in prioritized areas, there are several available training positions where education is combined with clinical work for two years.

Working hours are scheduled every weekday from 07:00 to 15:00 and Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00 to 20:30. On Saturdays from 07:00 to 15:00 and Sundays from 12:00 to 20:30. You work approximately every third weekend, but with our desired schedule via Timecare, there is room for flexibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome newly graduated as well as experienced licensed nurses with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. The position requires that you have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Additionally, we would like you to have a strong interest in developing within the field of dialysis. If you have previous dialysis experience, there is an opportunity to develop within acute dialysis treatments and apheresis treatments.

We believe you are curious, responsible, and like to stay updated on developments within our field.
