The Nephrology Department KUA belongs to specialized medicine. We care for patients in need of specialized kidney care, as well as multi-sick and elderly patients. There is close collaboration between the kidney clinic and the dialysis clinic, which provides a broad and varied operation.

KUA is part of the nephrology department, where elderly patients in need of medical care, nursing, and rehabilitation are treated. Students from medical, nursing, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy programs at Lund University collaborate in interdisciplinary teams around the patient. This provides an opportunity to develop both teamwork and the profession-specific role. The students work independently under the guidance of experienced staff, both in nursing and medical decision-making.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At the nephrology department, you will work in a close-knit and dedicated team with an open atmosphere and strong interdisciplinary collaboration. The presence of students from different professions has contributed to an open and learning work climate, where we constantly develop together and where questions and reflection are encouraged.

As a nurse with us, you will be offered a varied and stimulating job. You will work with medical patients and sometimes also kidney patients who require surgical interventions. The work is done in teams, and at KUA, there is also a mentoring role towards students. The unit offers good opportunities to broaden your competence, as the operation combines a specialist area with the role of Helsingborg's only educational department.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends according to a schedule. Currently, night work is not included.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish that correspond to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. It is a plus if you have experience in kidney care, but it is not a requirement. If you have mentoring training, it is an advantage.
