With us, patients from 0 to 18 years old are cared for, who are in need of highly specialized care, primarily in neurology, pulmonary medicine, and orthopedics. We work with a wide variety of diagnoses, from planned surgeries and treatments to more complicated diseases. The department is one of four inpatient departments within the pediatric medicine area at Skåne University Hospital. The care is a mix of planned and acute activities where we work broadly at different levels of care. We are unique in the southern healthcare region in providing this type of care for children and young people. In our department, we work family-centered, which means that our efforts are based on the whole family and their living conditions.

Intermediate care (IMV) is part of the department and is aimed at patients who have care needs that exceed a regular ward but do not require intensive care. Thus, the care is often high-tech, and support for vital functions occurs to varying degrees. IMV improves the flow in the emergency care chain by stabilizing patients early in the care process, thus preventing the need for intensive care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant, you will be offered a varied and developing job with rewarding tasks. You will work with the care of our patients and support their parents. The work is done in teams together with other nursing assistants and a nurse, where you jointly plan the daily work. Together with responsible doctors, the focus is on finding solutions that each patient thrives on, which is highly individual from child to child. In addition to the direct work with the patient, all staff members are involved in the work of developing and improving care as we constantly strive to become even better at what we do.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the Socialstyrelsen's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied according to previous or current program structures. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement. It is an advantage if you have experience working with children and/or if you have worked in hospital care, preferably in pediatrics, neurology, and/or pulmonary medicine.
