Within the Care and Support Administration, full-time work is the norm. This means that all permanent employees fundamentally have a full-time position. More information about what this means for the position will be provided during a potential interview. Personal assistants are exempt from the full-time norm.

Nora - Short-Term Accommodation

Nora is a modern and homely short-term accommodation located in a calm and beautiful environment, close to nature and lovely surroundings. There is a pleasant garden, proximity to services, and good bus connections to central Uppsala. The facility has 20 care places for people with dementia and is located in Sävja. Job Description

Your role includes providing good personal care with consideration for the clients' individual needs and their right to self-determination, as well as performing health and medical care tasks delegated by licensed health and medical personnel (HSL) such as medication management, wound care, and more. You understand the importance of your role in daily interactions with our clients and provide personal care with respect for their needs. Your responsibilities also include:

  • working with palliative care at the end of life
  • having a rehabilitative approach
  • communicating with patients, relatives, and other professionals in the organization as well as other stakeholders
  • documenting in the patient journal Lifecare according to the Social Services Act
  • having one or more areas of responsibility in the department based on needs
  • working between departments as needed

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • is a trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements
  • has good experience of previously being assigned delegated HSL tasks by a licensed nurse and rehabilitation staff
  • has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
  • it is an advantage if you have specialized training in a relevant area for nursing assistants

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks. You structure your approach and drive your work forward in a systematic and sustainable way. Furthermore, you are flexible and can easily adapt when circumstances change; you can quickly adjust both your perspective and approach and see opportunities in change. Additionally, you have empathetic ability and can understand another individual's perspective and situation. You also have excellent collaboration skills and work well with others, relate to your surroundings in a responsive and smooth manner, and listen, communicate, and handle conflicts constructively.
