We are now looking for summer substitutes for one of Sweden's most important jobs in healthcare and social care. The substitute period applies for the summer of 2026, from June to August, with introductory training and shadowing before the start of the substitute position.

The Social Administration in Nora Municipality is responsible for elderly care, LSS and care operations, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We offer you a meaningful job where you make a difference for other people. You will primarily work with good care and service based on each user's conditions. For example, regarding personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, laundry, medication management, activities, leisure activities, motivational conversations, and so on. The position also includes social interaction, documentation, planning, and certain health and medical tasks. The assignment is varied, and you will perform it together with competent colleagues.
Working hours vary and are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends. There is also a group at each residence and a group in home care that works awake nights at Soltunet and Torget. Daytime work Monday to Friday within social psychiatry. Please indicate in your application if you are willing to work nights.
In the beginning, you will shadow experienced colleagues and learn from them. You will also have access to a mobile app where you can get support in your daily tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS
To be eligible for the position, you must be 18 years or older. You must have a command of the Swedish language such that you can communicate with the individuals we serve, relatives, colleagues, guardians, and carry out written documentation. In some/most of our operations within Support for Function and a large part of home care, there is a requirement for a driver's license; in other operations, a driver's license is not required. Education or previous experience in healthcare and social care/disability areas and psychiatry is an advantage.
As a person, you should be attentive, understanding, and considerate. You handle stress constructively and maintain a good mood under pressure and adversity. Furthermore, we see that you are structured, meticulous, can follow instructions, and plan your work well. You should also have the ability to collaborate with others. We consider it valuable if you can work 4-10 consecutive weeks. For employment within our organization, a valid extract from the criminal record is required. The extract from the criminal record can be ordered from the police's website.
The work can be both physically and mentally demanding, which requires good health.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Nora Municipality is located in the northern part of Örebro County between the lakes and forests of Bergslagen. The municipality has a fantastic cultural heritage and a rich association life. Nora is an entrepreneurial municipality where small local businesses coexist with large international companies. We are approximately 10,700 inhabitants and are expected to steadily increase in the coming years. These conditions and the proximity to the expanding Örebro have made more and more people want to live and establish themselves in Nora Municipality.
